Gonzalez's Heart
We had a good weekend. Ashley and I got to spend alot of alone time together. We went shopping, played and had a sleep over together. She was a wild sleeper and karate chopped me a few times. Sal did not come until Sunday. He dropped Ethan off with Ryan and Tammy on Sunday on his way to see us and Kelly took Ashley to a parade so we were able to spend some alone time together as well.
Jaden is doing very well! He has been drinking about 80% of his feedings. I will be asking tomorrow about starting to nurse and to see how long they think until we are able to go home. I am excited because I am hoping sooner then later. I will let you all know what they say to me tomorrow.

I am sure they needed the alone time...
All couples need a certain amount of time together to reflect on past, future plans ,dreams ,and their love for one another .

I am soooo happy to hear that he is drinking 80%! What a blessing of answered prayer! I will be praying for you re nursing. They never know what will happen until they try, I hope that by this time they are much more willing to listen to you. ;-) I have read that those 02 sats actually raise, not lower, while nursing. And how do we know...he may actually end up drinking more just because he loves being so close to you! Still, it could be a challenge to learn to latch on and drink because it's a whole different motion. I'm praying that instinct will kick in and he'll get it figured out. If there's a lactation consultant available, be sure to ask for her to come by!
Jaden is nothing short of miraculous and a perfect example of God answering prayers. Keep praying everyone!!!

I'm so glad you had a great weekend with Ashley and also got some time with Sal.
The comment about getting karate chopped while sleeping made me laugh... that's the kind of sleeper I was as a kid. One time we were staying in a motel and I had actually turned upside-down in the bed! Then, I woke up because my mom grabbed my ankle just before my foot came down on her face! My poor cousins (the are 10 years older than me) always had to sleep in my bed with me when I was little. Half the time I was sideways on the bed when it came time for them to hit the sack, and at least once I was actually laying across the pillows! :)
What great news that Jaden is doing so well! I can't wait to hear the update after you talk to them today...

Hi Steph,
It sounds like all is going well. I'm glad that you and Ashley had such a good time! It's the little moments that you will cherish the most.
We had a great week-end at Mom and Dad's. We got there in time for lunch on saturday and then we planted bushes and flowers in their flower beds. The kids brought dump trucks and had a great time hauling the dirt around. Owen taste tested a lot of it. It was a good week-end for everybody. Ken was on call so he planted a lot of stuff here!

That would be super!
What about Jaden , will he get to go home too?
Is Jaden drinking any water?
I would think if he could drink water , then maybe he could nurse without it getting into his lungs.
