Check out our slide show of some of our family pictures...

Gonzalez's Heart

Jaden is doing great. His nurse came today and his oxygen level is back up to around 81-83 which is where we want it. He sounds great and looks good. He did have a little fever of 99.6 but the nurse said to just watch it and not be worried unless he still has it tomorrow morning.

We are going to grandma's this weekend for our annual 4th of July get away. Kelly, Wendy, Jose and Audrey will all be joining us and we are staying at grandma's one night and then a hotel in Duluth the next night. We will be posting pictures when we return. Have a great weekend everyone.

Gonzalez's Heart

We had another very busy weekend. Grandpa, Mattie, Justin and Lilly stayed in their motorhome in front of our house. Friday night we all went to the Sauk Rapids parade. Wendy and Audrey joined us for that. Afterwards we went home and barbaqued. Saturday Sal, Jaden and I went to the cities to a concert which was wonderful. The rest of the crew went to the River Fest days in Sauk Rapids. Sunday we all went to the airplane show and then back to our house where we hung out and did some wonderful gardening. We made a flower garden for Amber. We put her stone the vet made in the middle and then planted around it. The kids all helped and gave Amber a flower. It turned out beautiful. Sunday night we ordered Chinese food for us all and then Grandpa and the crew left. At the end of the evening we had a bonfire and made s'mores in the back yard. It was a great weekend.

Jaden is doing wonderful. Sleeping and eating really well. He is a very happy and content little baby. Last Wednesday he weighed 9lbs 8oz. He oxygen level has dropped to around 75. They said at the hospital they do not want it below 75. We called his cardiologist and he said it was fine to be at the level it is at. We will be watching that closely. If it continues to drop then we will have to re-evaluate his status and go from there.

We had a great time taking pictures and the kids loved sharing in the experiance of being a family of five now at the gardens.

Steph T. and her friend Angela took the pictures for us. It was very nice of them to take time out of their day to do this for our family. I hope you all enjoy them. We had so many good ones, I had a hard time picking which ones to post.

Gonzalez's Heart

Everything is going very well here. Jaden's nurse came on Friday and he weighed 9.5. She said again how good he looks. We still have not heard how his labs went so I am assuming they are fine, but I will be calling them today. Very displeased with how they are handling everything.

This weekend was very nice. We went to the cabin for our annual father's day camp out. We did not camp this year because of Jaden. It was nice. We make flags every year and the first one we had was dated back to 1996 or 1997. We have done this for many years. Jaden still gets very over stimulated being around so many people, but he slept wonderfully. Sunday late afternoon at home, we planted some more in the yard and got quite a bit done. It was a great weekend.

Today we started Vacation Bible School and a lot of people were excited to see Jaden and see who they have all been praying for all of these months. We will have this all week and are sure to get very tired. It is always fun though. This is the 6th year I have taught it.

Hope you are all well.

Gonzalez's Heart

Well, Jaden has his lab appointment today and I asked if we should wait or when I would know. They paged his Cardiologist and no answer. They said we should know by tomorrow. So we wait overnight for an answer.

Bummer...

I will let you know when we know.

Gonzalez's Heart

Hello everyone! This weekend went really well. We dropped the kids off with Ryan and Tammy Friday night and then headed to the hotel. We got to sleep pretty late after un-packing and doing all of the things that we need to do for little Jaden. Sal had to wake up really early and head over to the championships. Kelly and Steve both came Saturday to show their support. It was very cold out so it brightened our day to have them come and visit. Kelly left the championships and went to pick up the kids and kept them until Sunday night. Sal tied for 2nd in the driving portion out of 14 but placed 4th overall with the interview, pre-trip and test included. He did really good. Yeah for Sal!!

Jaden did really well over the weekend but by the end of each day was very over stimulated and needed to be done. At the banquet Sunday night, I spent a good amount of time in the ladies bathroom with him trying to calm him down enough to go to sleep.

This morning we woke up and had his 2 month well check appointment. He looked and sounded really well and weighs 9lbs 2 oz. He is 2lbs up from his birth weight, 2 months later. WOW... The rest of today we are just going to relax and prepare for the week ahead. We will be going to the cabin for father's day weekend and then we have vacation bible school next week. We have labs on Thursday to see where his hemoglobin is at. Hopefully it went up so we do not have to have a transfusion. Pray really hard for that.

Love you all and hope you all had a great weekend.

Steph

Gonzalez's Heart

Our computer has been on the fritz the last few days so have not been able to get on. We have had a very good week. Jaden has been doing very well and is finally keeping down his horrible multi-vitamin with iron. The first few times he would through it all up so it did no good. He now gag's but is pretty good at keeping it down. So hopefully his hemoglobin will be high enough when we go back. His cry is getting much louder and it is nice to hear. He is on a pretty good schedule and we know a few times when he will take a nap and when he will wake up at night. He did this all on his own.

Ash and Ethan are glad to get a little more action in their lives again this week. Ash is loving tennis very much and tells me all about the parts of the tennis racket. Ethan is glad to be back to pre-school. He loves it so much. I had a conference with his teacher and she said he is doing great.

Tomorrow we are going to the cities for Sal's driving championship with FedEx. They do an obstacle course with their big semi-trailers, they take a written test, they are interviewed and also judged on their appearance. It is a lot like the military inspections. It is pretty exciting. We have a banquet Sunday night which is always fun. Hopefully Jaden will be fine and not get over done with all of the new things. Ryan, Tammy and Kelly are watching Ash and Ethan for the weekend. It will be a nice break for all of us.

Hope you all have a great weekend....

Gonzalez's Heart

No, we did not make it to church. And Jaden was even doing well. I was not though. I was so tired that Sal let me stay in bed until at least 9:30am. Then I layed on the couch in my pj's for awhile longer. I was so exhausted. I guess Kelly worked me good and hard. Or maybe I worked her that way. Thanks again Kelly for your help. Yesterday late afternoon Sal, the kids and I went to the nursery and got a few things for the yard. It was a nice little outing but came home fast.

Jaden is doing exceptionally well and is finally clearing up from all of his congestion. He now weights 8lbs 10oz. YEAH!! The nurse, Jenny said today that he looked great and his weight gain was wonderful. We are very happy.

Well, tomorrow the fun summer activity begins. Ethan starts back at pre-school, Ash starts tennis and dance again and they both have their last swimming lesson for the summer. We will have a very busy day tomorrow. Plus in between all of this, I have a cleaning at the dentist. Jaden will hang out in the stroller next to my chair and Ashley will watch as well. Hopefully Jaden sleeps the entire time.....

The "Celebration Of Life" party for Jaden is most likely going to be July 30th from 2-5pm. I will let you know a little later if that is the for sure date. It looks like it though so mark your calendars. You all will definitely need to join us to celebrate this journey.

Love to you all...

Gonzalez's Heart

This weekend has been going pretty well for Jaden. He threw up this morning after his meds but had a good day after that. He has been steadily eating, sleeping and wetting his diaper. He has been a happy baby today.

Kelly came and brought a birthday cake that is a giant oreo. It was really yummy and a chocolate lovers dream. (Mom, you would have loved it...) We got a lot of laundry done and some good organizing. I finally was able to organize our deep freeze with my breast milk. There is a lot. Look at the picture. There still is a lot of milk in Steph T's freezer as well. We will be going to church tomorrow if Jaden has a good night. I am very excited. It has been way too long since we have been there.

Hope you all have a good weekend...
Jaden's breastmilk. He has a lifetime supply of it. The top shelf is bags of it and the bottom shelf is 5 bottles deep. Plus a lot still at Steph T's house..
Ethan's 5 staples from his little fall...

Gonzalez's Heart

We had our first cardiology appointment today. Dr. Martin said everything looked really well with Jaden. He did say that Jaden's hemoglobin was low so we are giving him iron and he will be checked in 2 weeks. If it is still low, they will give him a transfusion and he will have to stay in the hospital overnight. I said that was not going to happen. So please keep the prayers coming in general for the health of Jaden and that everything is how it should be.

He is eating well and gaining weight well. He is still congested and sounds really bad. We have had many long nights and are hoping that his congestion goes away really soon.

We are staying home this weekend and working on the house. Kelly will come up Saturday to help around the house. We will hopefully make it to church finally if Jaden is not too sick still. Ethan will get his staples out tomorrow morning from his fall last week. He has liked showing them off to everyone and I am sure will miss the attention.

Love to you all!!!
