Gonzalez's Heart

Jaden is now off of bi-pass. He was taken off around 12:35pm. Dr. Harrington will be out to talk to us in a few minutes. Then after that they will be rolling him up to PICU and we will be able to see him. I just got a phone call and my dear friend said, "you will feel much better after you see him." After hearing that, my hands got all sweaty and I was nervous and anxious to see him.

I have a cold so I will have to wear a mask when seeing him. Hopefully it goes away really fast so when Jaden is extibated and wakes up, that he can see my face sooner then later.

That is great news Steph!! He is a fighter! I am glad that all went well and I hope you get better so he can see you rather than that mask!
Thanks again for keeping us posted, everyone here at work has been asking about him.
Luv, Stacy

I have my candle going for him today so it is easy to keep my thoughts and prayers going to Jaden and you guys. Even though Jaden may not be able to see your face from the mask, he knows your smell, touch, and voice so he will feel comforted just knowing you are always mama (& papa)!

Steph, have you ever heard of the medicine called Airborne? It is a lozenge (sp?) type medicine, designed by a *teacher* to help ward off the nasty viruses that tend to hang around. You can get it at pretty much any drugstore (walgreens, target, etc). It is full of yummy herbs and stuff (not yummy in the sense that it tastes good, but yummy as in good for you). Maybe you should have someone grab some for you. You can take it the whole time you are there to get your immune system back up and running. :)
