Things have been going very well here. Jaden has been working very hard each day on trying to spend more time on his tummy and we have been trying to get him to want to crawl. He is rolling over very little and will not stay on his hands and knees without crying and then dropping to his tummy. He has come a long way in the last 2 weeks though. We are very proud of him and what he has to go through in order to accomplish these goals of tummy time, rolling over and crawling.
He still is not wanting to eat any solids. Speech will start next week and come to help figure out how to get him to want to eat. He has issues with the textures and always starts gagging. Every few days he will eat about half a jar of baby food. This will be a hard step for him to take as well.
We were supposed to have a cardiology appointment this week but of course Chip is out of town (as always) and cancelled it. Chip had said he definitly does not want to wait until Jaden turns one to have his appointment due to his bad heart function, but it looks like that is what will happen.
Less then 2 weeks and Jaden turns one. We can't believe how fast and slow this has gone by. It is amazing when looking back at all we have been through and where we are now. Jaden is a big boy now and has 5 teeth working on his 6th. He weighs 16lbs. 3oz. He is doing well overall.
We took our very first family trip out of the state since Jaden has been born. It was a very needed and overdue trip. We drove to Florida for a little over a week. We stopped in Louisiana on our way to see the hurricane damage. We then went beach hopping and stayed at Panama City Beach, St. Pete's Beach, Cocoa Beach, Savannah Georgia and Myrtle Beach S. Carolina. We had such a good time. Jaden was very amazed at how the sand felt and was shocked when feeling the ocean. Ash and Ethan did not want to come home. I will post pictures soon. It has been crazy as ever since we have been back.
Much love to you all, Steph

Steph,
I'm so glad you finally had a little vacation- you deserve it! I know exactly what you mean about time going by both fast and slow. I look back on what we went through with Ben in the first year and it seems like a lifetime ago. He turns 5 on the 30th- I just can't believe it. He is such a blessing! I know you feel the same about your little darling too! They are all special, aren't they. Take care.

Oooooohhhh, I LOVE the ocean. I'm so glad you guys took time out to go. :) I have been to Myrtle Beach, that is only about 8 hours from my "home" in Virginia...closer than Washington, DC, or Virginia Beach!!
Jaden gets cuter and cuter all the time. It was so good to see you guys at church today. I love you so much!! =) I am hoping that when you have your next cardiologist appointment that he has nothing but good news for you!
Hugs,
Steph T
I can't believe he is going to be one already!! Sounds like he is doing great. It is because of all of the love and support he receives!
Sorry I confused you with my pics! I forget that not everyone has seen me since I chopped my hair off. I am having a great time in Ireland. My cousin with the car returns tomorrow so we will be able to run and see different things. Since my uncle had his surgery and stroke he is not able to do things like before so we enjoy time just staying home and visiting. I have been out walking all over town a couple of times a day. I have to do something to walk off all the sweets I have been eating!
Take care and tell everyone hello!!
Luv, Stacy
He just gets cuter all the time. It is hard to believe that the little SUPER STAR is going to be one. I am still collecting pop tabs from Evan's teacher last year. They all add up and are a great way to help the RMH.
I heard that you may head to IA this summer when Kelly is here. It would be alot of fun to get everybody there. Just knowing that Grandma and Grandpa would be very proud of all of us and the blessings we have recieved.
Keep up the great work you are doing with Jaden and we will continue to pray for all of you.
The letter is an awesome idea. Take care.
Love,
Krista
