Gonzalez's Heart

First off I just want to thank you all again for your support. I have a count tracker on the bottom of the blog and it has gotten over 900 hits. I can not believe it!!! You all are so awesome. God has given us the best group of family and friends anyone could have.

Next I want to let you know that as Jaden has already shown us, he is totally in control and wants to make sure we know. This morning, he spiked a temp of 101. The doctor said that one of his meds he is on is very common to cause a fever but his was a little too high. So know they are waiting for blood work and want to make sure it is that and not an infection somewhere in his body. So unfortunately they have changed his surgery to Friday. Good Friday. So keep the prayers coming that what ever his body needs to do that it does it. Like I said, he is in control of the situation and wants to make sure we know. What a little stinker he is. I guess God just wanted to make sure that we and Jaden were all ready for what is going to happen to him.

I will let you know tomorrow what the test results showed and I will try and post some more pictures. Because he had a temp, Sal was not able to hold him.

Talk to you all tomorrow. Love, Steph

Steph and Sal

I am so sorry to hear that Sal did not get to hold Jaden. I will be praying that the doctors have the best possible news for you and that Jaden's fever comes down quickly.

I wanted to share some verses from the Bible with you that I have been thinking about, I hope will be a comfort to you. First is my personal favorite and one that I have thought about in my own life a lot lately. Proverbs 16:9 says "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." So you are right in thinking that God is in control. Next not only is God in control, but he will somehow work it out for good (even if it's hard or painful now) as Paul wrote in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." And finally, Psalms 139 has come to mind a lot lately, thinking about how God knew Jaden before any of us did and he loves him infinitely more than we can imagine. "For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Mitch and I were talking about this last night, and Mitch made a really good point that Jaden is so blessed to be born into your family. You know and love Jesus, so he will have the opportunity to grow up in a wonderful family and while his heart is not perfect here on earth, one day he will be made whole in heaven!! I wish I understood more of the "whys" but I know that it is important to trust. I know that God is holding you and Jaden in his arms.

Love ya,
Steph & Mitch

Hi,
Steph put some powerful verses on here. Those words are hard to follow, but soooooooooo true. There must be a reason that the surgery was postponed. He is a tough little guy! I hope that you guys are getting the rest you need! We think of you all the time and hope things go well for all of you. He is such a lucky little boy to have such a good family.

Keep us posted on the lab work and we continue to pray!

Love,
Krista

I talked to Sal today...I called right when he got home, good timing.
He said they moved the surgery etc...I finally got the blog address again, I lost it...sorry I haven't said hi yet.
I miss you and pray for you and baby Jaden. He is ADORABLE!
and he looks strong. God will guide the surgeons hands during surgery, and the angels will be in there too! Please know I think about you alot and pray for health and safety!
Did you get a chance to visit with Shelly? How's their baby doing?

Sal & Steph & family,

My prayers are with you all. What a beautiful little boy! My prayer is that he would be strong enough for the surgery on Friday and there will be no more complications b/w now and then.
