Gonzalez's Heart

Sorry I have not updated as soon as I should have. I know a lot of you have been calling and wondering how everything went at my Dr. appointment.

First I will let you know a little about the weekend. On Saturday dad, Robyn, Bill, Wendy, Jose, Sal and I worked on things around the house (and 3 wild children). We carpet cleaned, organized, cleaned out the van, worked on laundry, packed and ordered jewelry on eBay. (Compliments of dad... Thanks dad!!!) We grilled for dinner.... Thanks Sal. No one let me do much of anything and that was very hard to just sit here and watch everyone. I have been having a lot of cramping and lower back pain so it was a little easier to sit because I know I need to stay off of my feet to help keep this little bundle inside. Thank you everyone for helping out on Saturday. We had a fun day and got a lot done and it helped me be at ease...

Sunday Robyn, Bill, Kelly, Jose, Sal and I had a nice ham dinner and then did some more work around the house. Of course I still had to stay off my feet so I stayed home from church to make sure and not over do it by being out and about. Kelly brought supper over which was yummy and it was nice to not have to cook. So we pretty much got everything done that needed to be done before the baby came. Thanks guys for coming over and helping. It means a lot to us...

Monday early morning I had my Dr. appointment. I only dilated to 3 (from being at 2 at the end of last week). I guess staying home and off my feet helped. My Dr. did say that I might want to call to the U of M and tell them where I am at for dilation and that I have been having a lot of cramping. She thinks I should maybe see if they want to induce me Thursday or Friday instead. I will call them tomorrow and see what they say. I will let you all know.

Today we brought home a lot of pop tabs that some of the kids and staff from Ashley's school collected. It was very fun for Ashley to get those and it helps her to feel more a part of everything that is going on. The rest of them should come in by Thursday. The support from the St Cloud Christian School has been wonderful.

For now just keep praying for things to go smoothly and for this baby to hold off until it is time to come. Your prayers are so appreciated and very needed.

Thank you to all, Steph

Hi Steph,
It was good to hear from you - I'd been wondering what was going on. It was so nice for everyone to come to your house and help out - many hands make light work - grandma used to say that a lot! That has to make you feel better too, knowing that things are done and ready to go.

While you are in the Cities and at U of Mn, Sam and I want to help with expenses - whether it's at the Ronald McDonald House, with meals, whatever you need - just let us know. We wish that we could be there to help.

We continue to pay for strength for all of you.

Love,
Karen

Hi Steph,
It was good to hear the package arrived.
I hope you enjoy the book. The thing about books means feet up and try to relax...

God only knows what is ahead, but he is always with you and family. He will guide you all each step of the way.

Your family is on a lot of prayer lines here and in Texas too.

Some day ask Krista about Owen's hat. I know she had a good laugh with it , we both did... I am sure she didn't use it ... Funny sight. HA! Ha! First one's are like that....
After baby is here and we know if it is a boy or girl I would like to make baby a blanket, or do you have a color you would like now?

I had midterms tonight , and I'm glad it is over for a bit. It is a great class, I just don't like test. I have a really nice instructor, she is real understanding of all her students.

Thank you and Robyn for the happy bday
.
See you all soon.

My Plane lands 2:45 Thursday.

I better go.

Love, Mattie

Hi Steph,
That is so awesome that you were able to have so many people over to help you get ready. And that you could sit with your feet up. Keep up the good work! We are praying that you keep the little one until it is time for the Dr.'s to induce you, every day that it has your body to help it grow and gain strength, the better.
Take care and I'm so glad to see all of your support!!
Love,
Krista

Hey Steph! It's good to read the updates and hear how you are able to finish things up and feel really ready for the baby to come. I can hardly wait to find out if it's a boy or girl! You have definitely inspired me!! =) It's hard to believe that the day is almost here.
I just want to let you know that everyone here is healthy again finally, so feel free to call me if you need me!!
